The Day
Much like home, the day was spent in the woods for Talia. They weren't as thick and treacherous as the Wolfswood in the North, but there was an element of darkness about this place that made it familiar enough. She had explored the hotel earlier and didn't find much to interest her about it. There was that Tree, but each time she tried to approach it, it seemed to move.
Magic? It seemed like a children's story, but for the sake of safety, she wasn't going to toy with the things that seemed design to be odd.
Which left only one means to entertain herself during the day. With her bow and quiver, she disappeared into the woods, deciding at least that she could get a fair share of rabbits and maybe a deer as well. Pelts would be useful for however long they were here and meat wouldn't go amiss.
Setting up a snare trap in a large brush, she glanced back at the figure wandering the woods as well. "Careful where you step. The ground is dry and it makes more noise than usual." It would snow soon enough and then hunting would be easier. They could walk unawares without worry.
Evening
Bonfires were close to the campfires Talia had grown used to in Robb Stark's camp. There were a few drunken conversations nearby, close enough to the soldiers that had followed the noble lords into battle. It was close enough to home that she could close her eyes and imagine she was in the Riverlands. The dream didn't last long, sadly.
Still, this was comfortable and she could enjoy it despite the differences of worlds around her.
Putting a bit of rabbit meat on a spit, she set it against one of the stones, letting it be heated by the flames. There was no spiced wine, no ale, but whatever it was they were drinking, she enjoyed it well enough.
Fat flakes were drifting from the sky, though it melted on their arms and faces. "It should be a storm soon."
